Students in the Bio Technology class at South Mountain learned how to harvest bacteria culture by swabbing samples from around the campus, including door handles, staircase handrails, and cell phones. They then allowed oranges to mold. This mold created penicillin which the students used to inoculate the bacterial and viral cultures.
