Camelback held its 13th Annual Alumni Day, when former Camelback students meet and talk to current students about college, career and life. This year, 40 alumni from 1981 to 2014 came back to school and over 400 students participated over four class periods. It was organized by marketing teacher Maria Ciolfi-Abrams and Camelback volunteer and local architect Jeff Stephens, who personally invites the students from the past.
The current students visited with the alums in a round-robin format, selecting the persons, and the colleges and careers in which they were most interested. There was also a presentation of customized posters that have been created highlighting graduates which will hang in the classrooms and other areas on campus.
“This is an amazing event and opportunity for our students. Several of them collected business cards for projects or mentors in the future. It truly is a reminder of how inspiring our graduates are,” Ciolfi-Abrams said.
