Franklin Police and Fire High School’s CTE fire staff, Jeff Clubb, organized classes for all CTE students called Stop the Bleed in partnership with Banner Health.  Nurses from Banner Health and a Phoenix firefighter taught Franklin students about basic training in bleeding control principles. These principles can be applied by the students to provide immediate aid until first responders are able to take over care of an injured person.  This training is a direct result of the tragedy in Sandy Hook and other multiple tragedies which resulted in injuries and death, some which were later found to be survivable with the proper training to provide vital emergency response to control bleeding in emergency situations.  Students received a certification for completing the course.
